Continuing Education

The PIAA supports continuing education programs for attendees.  Continuing education credits issued for participation in the CE activity may not apply toward license renewal in all states.  It is the responsibility of each participant to verify the requirements of his/her licensing board(s).  The number of credit hours issued varies with each meeting or workshop, and the educational activities being offered.  For all inquiries regarding continuing education, including complaints and administrative policy, please contact Bill Burgess at 301.947.9000 ext. 236.

The PIAA is an accredited provider of the following CE programs for attendance at the Association's various workshops and meetings:

Continuing Medical Education
The PIAA is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Continuing Education for Dentists
The PIAA is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider.  ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education.  ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry.  Concerns or complaints about a CE provider may be directed to the provider or to ADA CERP at www.ada.org/goto/cerp.

Continuing Professional Education
The PIAA is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be addressed to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors, 150 Fourth Avenue North, Suite 700, Nashville, TN 27319-2417 or may visit the website at www.nasba.org.
